People look at socialist Cuba today and think the island was always a third-world country. In reality, before the scourge of socialism infected the island nation, Cuba was a modern and thriving country.

Yes, but it wasn’t supposed to be, so the narrative has been fixed. Our “brothers,” of course, are especially happy that Cuba was put in its place–a Latrine one–and our “betters” much prefer it as a third-world failure which feeds their “revolutionary” fantasies and serves as an exotic theme park or zoo for their pleasure(s).
But make no mistake: aliens may be contemptible, the principal fuck-up was that of Cubans themselves.
