Two buildings collapse in Havana, Cuba, on the same street, only hours apart

From our Vamos Requetebien Bureau with assistance from our Annals of Socialism Bureau

This is what 60 years of socialism will do to buildings and the families crammed into them.

From Marti Noticias

The occupants of a three-story building that collapsed completely on Monday in Virtudes Street between Manrique and Campanario, in the Centro Habana neighborhood, were located in temporary premises in another building in poor condition and also in danger of collapsing, neighbors said to Radio Martí.

A few hours, a few blocks up the same Virtudes street, another multifamily building lost the stairs and the roof, leaving all its inhabitants unable to come down or go up.
