Photos of the Day: Miami Cuban exiles come out every Sunday in support of political prisoners in Cuba

Every Sunday these past several months independent journalists, artists, and exiles in Miami gather in front of the Versailles Restaurant on Miami’s Calle Ocho to demand the release of political prisoners on the island.

Using social media networks, megaphones, and banners, the activists never rest in their struggle for the freedom of the Cuban people.

  1. Sadly, this is useless. It would be far more effective for the “diaspora” to limit what it’s pumping into Castro coffers to just indispensable aid. Alas, it not only won’t do that, but will keep doing the opposite—sending as much as it possibly can, regardless of actual necessity. Vamos bien.
