Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz agrees with Trump’s Cuba travel policy

Believe or not, there are still some Democrats left who haven’t gone completely in the tank for Cuba’s brutally repressive and murderous socialist dictatorship.

U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) in an interview with the Sun Sentinel:

Asked about the president’s clamp down on travel to Cuba, most recently suspending charter flights to all destinations except Havana, Wasserman Schultz said Cuba’s relationship with the United States “needs to be earned.”

“We saw nothing, essentially, when President Obama opened relations with Cuba. I would have liked to have seen an insistence on more human rights concessions, an insistence on free and fair elections, or at least a process to getting there, making sure there was more economic freedom.

“The Cuban regime is engaging in malevolent activity. They are all over Latin America trying to export their anti-human rights regime to other countries. And they are doing so successfully in cahoots with Russia, China and Iran.”

It should be noted Rep. Wasserman Schultz has always bucked her party, refusing to defend or support the Castro regime and has been a staunch supporter of freedom in Cuba for many years.
