Cuban health authorities reported another death from COVID-19: a 38-year-old Cuban citizen residing in the municipality of Old Havana, who lost his life on Friday and had been in contact with a traveler from Switzerland.
“He presented torpid evolution with respiratory distress and severe bronchopneumonia,” says the official report. Nine people have died in Cuba from the disease.
Of the 764 tests examined over the weekend, 30 were positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 350. There is a four-year-old girl and three teenagers of 13, 14 and 15 years among those new 30 confirmed patients.
As of Sunday night, 1,718 people were kept hospitalized, and another 18,434 remained in their homes under sanitary surveillance.
