These “Hippies” weren’t even trying to topple or deface the statue of Union General John Logan in Chicago’s Grant Park. They were simply climbing on it.

For Chicago protesters in 1968, “justice, freedom and a life without rules and regulations” were all represented by totalitarians Che Guevara and the Viet Cong. (Deja Vu all over again…)
