Leftist attack on Marco Rubio puts anti-Cuban bigotry, hatred, racism, and ignorance on full display

I can’t be a bigot, no, not at all.

From our Bureau of Perfectly Acceptable Leftist Venom

We all know that American leftists and progressives constantly pat themselves on the back for being “tolerant” and “open minded” and love to accuse anyone who is not in their camp of bigotry and racism.

That is a Fact, with a capital “F”

If you don’t believe this, then check out Stephen Eric Bronner’s book, The Bigot: Why Prejudice Persists. Bronners argument is very simple: Leftists are totally incapable of becoming bigots or holding prejudices. Bigotry and prejudice exist only on the right side of the political spectrum, and, in fact, bigotry and prejudice are defining characteristics of conservatism.

Bronner’s thesis is that conservatives are troglodytes who fear change of any sort, and that makes them inherently prejudiced.

Yeah.

Oh, and liberals and progressives also take immense pride in being smarter, more learned, and well-informed than their opponents.

Well, catch this little piece of news about political prostitute Steve Schmidt, who just proved conclusively how hate-filled, ignorant, and prejudiced a liberal can be.

And imagine how the news media would have reacted if similar dumbass pinhead venom had been spewed against any liberal.

Reminds me of the time an audience member in ultra-liberal Westport, Connecticut yelled at me: “You people are ruining this country! Why don’t you shut up and go back where you came from!”

Republican Sens. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Rick Scott criticized Steve Schmidt, a co-founder of the anti-President Donald Trump super PAC the Lincoln Project, after Schmidt went after Rubio in a series of tweets that invoked the Florida senator’s Cuban heritage.

The exchange started after Rubio tweeted on Monday, “Brilliant move! No one is more in touch with the challenges & obstacles faced by everyday Americans than actors & celebrities,” in response to a clip of actress Eva Longoria speaking at the Democratic National Convention. In response, Schmidt on Tuesday criticized the Florida GOP senator in a series of tweets, which referenced the fact that Rubio is the son of Cuban immigrants who came to the United States in 1956.

As part of the exchange, Schmidt tweeted that Rubio’s parents were “looking for a better life like the hard working immigrants you have abandoned because you fear Trump and love your position.” He went on to say, “Rubio is the type of man who would have stayed in Cuba in 59. He is the type of ambitious young man who would have sensed new opportunities. He is the type of man who would have gladly held Castro’s coat if it helped him rise, just a little.”

Rubio, Cruz and Scott all forcefully pushed back against Schmidt with Cruz calling the accusation “beyond the pale,” Scott calling it “offensive and idiotic,” and Rubio calling Schmidt “the type of washed up man who sensed new opportunities to make some money.

“The Lincoln Project is a super PAC that has produced a steady stream of ads that slam Trump. Its website states that its mission is to “defeat President Trump and Trumpism at the ballot box.”

  1. Well, no matter how oleaginous and whorish, neither Schmidt nor anyone of his ilk would pull this stuff unless it was considered both safe and fashionably PC, which it is.
