Heaven knows it wasn’t often that Fidel Castro yielded (publicly, at least) to the “expertise” and “indefatigability” of others. But he made an exception for a few of his most shameless apple-polishers. One of these was The Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, whose own apples Fidel frequently polished in his captive (literally!) media. More examples below:

Often to simplify matters, totalitarian Cuba’s KGB-mentored media simply reprinted Goldberg’s The Atlantic articles word for word–that’s how perfectly Goldberg’s articles met the propaganda needs of the terror-sponsoring regime whose lifelong obsession was the destruction of Goldberg’s homeland.

The two Castro-media reprints of Goldberg articles above involve Goldberg assuring The Atlantic readers that Castro’s Cuba is antiseptically free of terror-sponsorship, and should be removed from the State Department’s official terror-sponsors list posthaste….The other assures The Atlantic readers that Castro’s Cuba had absolutely nothing to do with JFK’s assassination.
And how does Jeffrey Goldberg, this hard-nosed and “indefatigable” investigative journalist, know that Castro’s Cuba was antiseptically free of any connection with the crimes above?
Well, Fidel Castro told him so…..(cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die!)
A longer list of the KGB-founded and mentored Cuban media’s Goldberg references and reprints can be found here.
But it gets even “better.” Because Jeffrey Goldberg has dual citizenship: the U.S. (the country that was Fidel Castro’s lifelong obsession to destroy) and Israel (a country Fidel Castro equated with Nazi Germany and which he sent troops and tanks to help “erase from the map” during the Yom Kippur War.)

One might be tempted to think that Goldberg and others like him can make such an outrageous public statement because they are fools who’ve drunk the Castro Kool-Aid, but they never, EVER make any such statement about a right-wing despot. Thus, their problem is not folly, but rather HIJEPUTEZ.
Lord, the disgust.
And, as usual, the presumptuousness of such “experts” defies belief, only it’s all too real. They may or may not actually believe they know and get Cuba better than “those people,” but that ludicrous attitude is implicit in everything they say on the subject of Cuba. Chutzpah scarcely begins to cover it.
“Jeffrey Goldberg is an important (to Castro, Inc.) and indefatigable (Castro-friendly) journalist…who just happens to look like a fat putz.” There. I fixed it for the old bastard.
