Yeah. While it is highly likely that some die-hard Cuban exile Yo-Yos will be swayed by such nonsense (especially those who’ve been making money from Castro, Inc.’s self-employment scam), chances are that such talk will only irritate the majority of Cuban voters in Florida and push them furhter into Darth Trump’s camp.

In a push to win more Cuban American voters, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden lambasted President Donald Trump as the “worst possible standard-bearer for democracy” during a campaign speech in Florida on Thursday.
Biden said a vote for him Tuesday would be a vote in favor of a new policy on Cuba.
“This administration’s approach isn’t working,” the former vice president said. “Cuba’s no closer to freedom and democracy today than it was four years ago.

Biden made the comments during a drive-in campaign event at Broward College in Coconut Creek, Fla.
There are about 2 million people with Cuban ancestry living in the United States, according to the Cuban Studies Institute, with about 60% living in Florida. An NBC News/Marist poll released Thursday indicates Trump leads Biden in the Cuban vote in Florida at 71% to 23%.

Either Biden and his people are unaccountably stupid or they’re not trying to get Florida’s Cuban vote, but rather score points with other voters, in and out of Florida, as the “principled” and “fearless” option–the “progressive” option, of course. It defies belief that, at this very late date, even less-than-brilliant Dems could believe such flagrant BS could possibly be swallowed by an audience that’s been lied to and screwed over for decades–as in up, down and sideways. Well, Carlos Alberto Montaner seems to buy it, so there is that.
Still, the wording is incredibly ill-chosen. “The worst possible standard-bearer.” Really? REALLY? What parallel universe do these creatures live on? Bizarro world? Well, yes, they are hacks, but man, do they suck.
