Cuban dissident rapper Maykel Osorbo arbitrarily arrested by State Security

Maykel Osorbo arrested as he sat on a corner outside his home

Activist Maykel Osorbo was arrested by the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) on Tuesday afternoon as he sat on the corner of his home.

Esteban Rodriguez, a reporter for ADN Cuba, posted the news of the San Isidro Movement member’s arrest on Facebook, sharing photographs of the arrest.

In one of the photos PNR agents can be seen surrounding the rapper and in a couple of other photos Maykel can be seen pinned up against police car with the number 670 while he is being searched.

At the moment, the whereabouts of the opposition member after his arrest are unknown. Just a few days earlier, he was struck in the back with a machete when he visited artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara.

  1. It’s OK. it’s not as if he mattered, despite being black. A bad Negro might as well be white–or just not exist.
