  1. Too bad Celia didn’t stay in Castrogonia long enough for the “revolution” to make a human being out of her, which of course she never was before Massah Castro took over. Well, I guess she did OK, considering.

    But the real talent stayed in the plantation–you know, mythical figures like Omara Portuondo and Juana Bacallao–although their chief talent was for something else, as it pretty much had to be.
