One bar of soap every 42 days! These are the new rations in Cuba
The conditions the regime forces Cubans to survive in become more “surreal” every day. The aggravated shortages afflicting the island’s population over the past year have taken on a dramatic tone.
Documents with recent dates are circulating on social media detailing the standard distribution of food and basic items through the TRD and CIMEX stores under code QR, a method being employed in all of Cuba’s provinces with the exception of the capital.
According to these documents, a person will only be allowed to buy chicken once a month (every 30 days), which is unheard of in any other economy on the planet.
Likewise, they will be allowed to buy “hot dogs,” ground beef, and detergent every 35 days, cooking oil, bath soap, and laundry detergent once every 42 days, along with other personal hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste.
The new rations look like those in an economy of a country that is engaged in a war and not one of a nation under “normal” conditions. This shameful situation that Cubans are being subjected to reveals once again the inefficiency of the regime.
