For Cuban Americans who grew up or lived in Miami during the 1970s, La Lechonera restaurant was the place to go for the best pan con lechón in town.

The sign with the smiling guajiro holding a lechón was iconic and my mouth waters remembering my trips there with my family as a kid. If I remember correctly, the location shown in this photo was located on Flagler, right next to the railroad tracks.
