Coast Guard has repatriated 35 Cuban refugees in the past week

Over just the past week, the U.S. Coast Guard has intercepted five different embarkations that escaped Cuba carrying a total of 35 Cubans. All of them have been returned to communist Cuba.

Via Miami’s WSVN 7 News:

The U.S. Coast Guard has repatriated nearly three dozen Cuban migrants following five interdictions off the Florida Keys.

Officials said the first interdiction took place Sunday afternoon after a Coast Guard air crew spotted a rustic vessel with five people on board about 63 miles south of Key West.

Wednesday afternoon, a Coast Guard air crew spotted another boat with 13 people on board about 61 miles south of Key West.

Wednesday night, a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol air crew spotted a 20-foot fishing boat with five people on board about 25 miles south of Marathon.

Thursday morning, a good Samaritan spotted a green raft with three people aboard about 23 miles southeast of Marathon.

Friday morning, a Customs and Border Protection air crew spotted a boat with nine people aboard about two miles south of Marathon.

It’s interesting how the Biden administration has no issue with capturing and immediately deporting Cubans back to their communist hellhole. I wonder why?

  1. It is terribly sad, and if the Castro regime had any decency and actually gave a shit about ordinary Cubans, it would make damn sure they knew they’d be sent back even if they reached US soil. Apparently, Cubans on the island do not know that or are clearly misguided as to how this sort of thing works.
