Cuban State Security threatens daughter of political prisoner with prison if she leaves her home

The oppressors of communist Cuba’s State Security apparatus are threatening Sayli Navarro, the daughter of political prisoner Felix Navarro, with prison if she dares leave her house again.

“SOSCUBA: Lt. Colonel Rogelio from State Security in Matanzas is threatening Sayli Navarro with prison if she leaves Perico again, warning her that she remains under house arrest,” Ivan Hernandez Carrillo said on Sunday on Twitter. Hernandez Carrillo is the Secretary General of the Independent Union of Cuba and a former prisoner of conscience from the Group of 75.

In a video posted Diario de Cuba’s Facebook page, Sayli Navarro, who is also a member of the all-women’s organization the Ladies in White, said on Saturday that her family is “extremely worried over her father’s life.”

On Saturday, Navarro the father marked 12 days of a hunger strike and his daughter is calling on the international community to save his life.

“The only information we have is that he was taken out of the inner cells of the Combinado Penal del Sur prison on Wednesday, September 1, and according to what the prisoners there told us, he (my father) is in a very delicate state of health and that he is being held in the prison infirmary, said the political prisoner’s daughter. He is a member of the opposition group called the Luis Boitel Party for Democracy and was arrested during the July 11th protests in Cuba.
