With more than 90% of the votes counted, it appears Cuban American Jason Miyares has won the race for Attorney General and will become Virginia’s first Hispanic Attorney General.
Republican Jason Miyares has claimed victory as the next attorney general of Virginia, defeating two-term incumbent Mark Herring, a Democrat.
If the result holds, Miyares will make history as the first Latino to serve as the state’s attorney general.
Congratulations to Jason on his hard-fought victory and for making Cuban Americans and Cubans everywhere proud.
