‘Patria y Vida’ artist offers Grammy Awards to Cuba’s patron saint, Our Lady of Charity

Yotuel Romero was in Miami on Sunday and offered the two Latin Grammys won for “Patria y Vida” to La Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre during a mass at La Ermita de la Caridad church.

Latin Grammys for Patria y Vida offered to the Virgin of Charity in Miami

Yotuel Romero and his wife Beatriz Luengo offered both of the Latin Grammys won for the freedom anthem “Patria Y Vida” to the Virgin of Charity of the Cobre at the Ermita of Cuba’s Patron Saint in Miami.

Romero sung the hit song after the mass. Earlier, the artists had called on fans to attend the event.

“We’ll see you all today at 3 PM at the Ermita de la Caridad in Miami where the Grammys will be blessed in the name of all the Cuban people. We can’t have enough people attending,” he said on social meda.

The Ermita de la Caridad’s rector, Father Fernando Heria, said that several Cubans have brought their awards before the Virgin “as a sign of appreciation to God through his Mother, and also to recognize her before all the Cuban people.”

Heria called for a moment of prayer for imprisoned artists Maykel Osorbo and Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara.
