State Security agents continue harassment of Barbara Farrat Guillen

Barbara Farrat Guillen, the Cuban mother of Jonathan Torres Farrat, one of the children imprisoned for participating in the historic protests that took place on July 11, said in an interview with CubaNet that at 10 AM on Wednesday, she was visited by a State Security official at her home.

“He came to my house today to scold me for the statements I’ve made since the other day I wasn’t allowed to leave my house and I put the blame completely on him,” Farrat Guillen explained. She is referring to a video she posted on social media on December 27.

She also told CubaNet that the official had questioned her as to why she mentioned him in the statement as the main person responsible for the repression against her.

“He asked if I thought he was the only one who worked for State Security, that he knew nothing about the letter to Diaz-Canel, that he didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to leave my home. In other words, he came over to scold me because the video with my statement that I uploaded implicates him,” said Farrat Guillen.
