More information has surfaced about an “accident” involving the Cuban Coast Guard that resulted in the death of a would-be migrant last week.

As it turns out the Coast Guard cruiser intentionally tried to sink the fleeing vessel, ramming it five times and running over the passengers who had fallen overboard. And all of this occurred in international waters. The two Coast Guard officers in charge of the attack have been identified as Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Rodríguez and Lieutenant Yosbany Márquez.

William Padrón Maza died from head injuries caused by the Coast Guard cruiser. Two other men were injured, but no details about their condition are available.

Socialism in action, pure and simple.

On March 2, an official note from the Cuban Ministry of the Interior (MININT) shocked the residents of Morón, Matanzas, announcing that a person had died in an operation related to an illegal exit from the country.

According to the information released by the official media, a Cuban had lost his life the day before, March 1, when the Border Guard Troops were chasing a speedboat loaded with migrants who were trying to leave the Island.

But the truth behind these events is finally revealed by Wilber Padrón Maza, brother of the fatal victim the night he fled the country, William Padrón Maza.

“They attacked the boat, ramming it five times. The fifth collision killed William, ”he said, specifying that it was at that moment that his brother sustained the fatal head injury.

Several people related to what happened confirm that the statements of the Cuban authorities do not show the reality of the events.

“During the subsequent maritime maneuvers, the speedboat and the Coast Guard ship, both of similar size, collided,” was what they reported.

The testimony of the person who contacted Periódico Cubano goes against the MININT statement, since it affirms that the Coast Guard aimed “to break the ship apart, regardless of consequences.”

The direct source of our newsroom, who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals, since he was also traveling on the boat, spoke about the repressors.

Those involved by the authorities have been identified as Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Rodríguez and Lieutenant Yosbany Márquez, the ship’s skipper.

In addition, they assured that they were already in international waters when the incident occurred, not 11 nautical miles away, as the official press maintained.

  1. And the SOBs look exactly like what they are–and what they have to be to do such a job. Asco.

And no, nobody cares, just as they didn’t care about the considerably worse massacre involving the passengers of the tugboat 13 de marzo, which included the killings of very young children.
