It’s a slow process that has been long in coming, but little by little, after decades of abuse and misery, the Cuban people are losing their fear of the communist Castro dictatorship.

Cubans confront police over violent arrest while waiting in line in Havana: ‘Abusers’
Dozens of Cubans confronted police yelling “abusers” after seeing the violent arrest of a man who was standing in line to buy diapers in Havana.
The incident took place on March 26 at a store across from the Malecon in El Vedado. A man who had traveled from Mayabeque to make the purchase was arrested and beaten by police officers, according to a video taken and posted on Cubanos por el Mundo.
Others in line confirmed the man had come “from Mayabeque to buy diapers” and considered his arrest “an abuse.”
Many Cubans must travel from other territories to buy these and other products that although they are in high demand, there is scarce supply in the nation’s stores. The lines are endless and tend to be guarded by police.
Authorities recently said an immense line to buy diapers in Ciego de Avila “caused lines, crowds, and a lack of discipline,” which led to that town regulating the sale of the product.
