Castro dictatorship prohibits Cuban dissident invited to the Summit of the Americas from attending

Cuban activist Saily Gonzalez Velazquez was invited to Los Angeles to attend the IX Summit of the Americas, but the communist Castro dictatorship is prohibiting her from going.. But since the Castro dictatorship’s sock puppet president isn’t invited to the summit (as of this writing), they’re making sure no other Cuban attends, especially a courageous dissident woman who will upstage them.

Cuban regime prohibits activist Saily Gonzalez from attending the Summit of the Americas

Cuban activist Saily Gonzalez Velazquez was officially invited to the IX Summit of the Americas being held in Los Angeles on June 6, However, the Cuban regime has informed her that she will not be allowed to leave the country.

“Cuba has been invited to the IX Summit of the Americas, except the ones invited are those who want democracy and who respect the rights of all Cubans, not the ones who offer Socialism or Death as the only option,” she wrote on Twitter on May 27.

The Santa Clara entrepreneur said that on May 26 she was threatened by a State Security agent who told her family that she was not going to be allowed to pick up her passport and visa at the U.S. embassy in Havana.

Furthermore, Gonzalez Velazquez received a summons at 8 AM on Friday to present herself for questioning at the city’s Criminal Investigations office.

“I was met there by a State Security agent that goes by the name ‘Daniel,’ the same one who kidnapped me back on November 20. I was also arbitrarily detained and physically abused on January 14, as I have already reported,” she added.

The activist had a ticket on American Airlines to fly out on May 28 at 11:50 AM.

On May 27, Cuban regime authorities issued an order prohibiting her from leaving the country until the Ninth Summit of the Americas is completed.
