Former Democrat U.S. congressman Joe Garcia parties with communist officials in Cuba

Democrat Joe Garcia, a former U.S. Representative, was among the American businessmen looking for business deals with the communist Castro dictatorship. The Miami Cuban American seemed to be having a wonderful time partying in Havana with regime operatives and business partners of the Cuban regime. And people then wonder why Cuban Americans won’t vote for Democrats.

Former Democrat congressman Joe Garcia and businessman Hugo Cancio are enjoying the good life in a Havana restaurant along with their friend, Cuban artist Michel Mirabal, according to photos posted by the artist on Instagram.

“Food for the chickens, with my friend Hugo Cancio,” and “Food for the chickens, my friend and I, Joe Garcia,” wrote the artist and illustrator state-run media calls “the painter of Cuban flags.”

  1. Ah, the poster child for, well, you know. I see even the golden ringlets have forsaken him; he looks like an aging Cuban Fredo. Charlie Crist really should have picked him as his running mate. Ugh.

  2. There are always such people, of course, but it seems as if we’ve had more than our share. That has not helped, obviously, as it has been part of the problem and still is, but it is also disgraceful and disreputable. In other words, as horribly as Cubans fucked up, adding insult to injury is way, WAY beyond the pale.
