Cuban regime installs surveillance camera in Maykel Osorbo’s prison cell
The Cuban regime installed a surveillance camera in the prison cell of rapper and activist Maykel Osorbo, according to reports on the internet.
“The Cuban dictatorship is not satisfied with having Maykel Castillo unjustly imprisoned. They’ve also installed a surveillance camera in the prison cell he shares with seven other prisoners and reduced the number of calls,” said Cuban activist Anamely Ramos on Twitter.
In another post, she shared an image of a camera similar to the one used to watch the Cuban political prisoner, which has a motion sensor and noise cancellation to optimize the surveillance.
“Cuban prisoners, especially political prisoners, have no rights,” the activist said. Her post denounced this as another violation against the dissident rapper by the regime, which sentenced him to 9 years in prison in May 2022 for the alleged crimes of disrespect, public disorder, assault, and defamation of institutions, organizations, heroes, and martyrs.
