Dictator Raul Castro and his sock puppet president ‘nominated’ to the Cuban parliament

For those who still believe there are actual free elections in communist Cuba, the National Assembly has “nominated” Raul Castro and Miguel Diaz-Canel as candidates for parliament. Their chances of “winning” are pretty strong.

Via CiberCuba:

General Raul Castro and president Miguel Diaz-Canel were nominated as candidates to the National Assembly of Popular Power on Sunday.

As expected, the Municipal Assembly of Popular Power of II Frente in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba held an extraordinary session and nominated Castro, according to Cubadebate.

The same source also reported that Diaz-Canel was nominated by the Municipal Assembly in Santa Clara.

This is what democracy looks like under socialism.

  1. Well, it’s all a fraudulent farce, so this is perfectly consistent and in keeping with the “revolution.”

The photo, by the way, is similar to the one of RC with Obama, only D-C’s hand looks less limp.
