The Cuban government announced that until May there will be blackouts in a large part of the country, with an average of three hours a day, while they carry out a series of repairs in different thermoelectric plants.

Vicente de la O Levy, Minister of Energy and Mines, promised in the official Roundtable space, that the blackouts will not be similar to those of past months, when the population was without service for up to 10 hours.

“These actions imply that affectation levels will be maintained until the month of May for an average of three hours. This means the rotation of the blocks every four days, as long as there is no affectation in large generation units,” said the official.
