House members condemn U.S. hosting visit by Cuban dictatorship officials

Ignoring the brutality of Cuba’s communist Castro dictatorship and its threat to U.S. national security, the Biden administration is set to host a visit by officials from the murderous regime in Havana this week, and members of congress are not happy about it. Florida members of the U.S. House and Cuban Americans, Rep. Carlos Gimenez and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, were joined by Homeland Committee Chair Mark Green and the Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Mark McCaul in a letter condemning the reckless visit by military and Communist Party officials of a sworn enemy of the United States.

“We are deeply concerned about the U.S. national security implications of allowing government officials with a known adversarial foreign intelligence service to access sensitive U.S. Federal Government facilities,” the letter states, referring to communist Cuba’s long history of espionage against the U.S. and providing support and safe have for terrorists and terrorist organizations. The letter goes on to question the wisdom of exposing U.S. infrastructure to an ally of terrorist regimes such as Iran and Syria and putting our national security at risk, The letter concludes with a list of questions for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, seeking information on just how much due diligence his administration has done on the Cuban officials set to participate in the visit.

Unfortunately, more condemnations from congress will likely come in the near future as the Biden administration embarks on an apparent mission to once again surrender to Cuba’s communist dictatorship, as Obama did in 2016.
