Cuba comes to the defense of Nicaragua after UN condemnation for crimes against humanity

Socialist vultures of a feather will always flock together. After the Ortega dictatorship in Nicaragua was condemned by the UN for crimes against humanity, Cuba’s communist regime immediately came to their defense.

Cuba comes out in defense of Nicaragua after the UN condemnation for crimes against humanity

The Cuban government came out in defense of Nicaragua after the recent UN condemnation of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo for crimes against humanity, according to official reports.

“Cuban Ambassador Juan Antonio Quintanilla Roman put forth a motion that with the politicization, imposition of punitive measures, and the utilization of illegitimate uses of UN bodies and mechanisms to manipulate the domestic situation in Nicaragua, destabilize the government, and damage its image, will not yield any results,” said the Cuban Permanent Mission at the UN offices in Geneva on Twitter.

In another post from the diplomatic mission, they share the intervention by Ambassador Quintanilla Roman before the 52nd session of the Human Rights Council, where he declared that “if we want to really act in the name of human rights, we should demand the immediate elimination of the unilateral coercive measures against Nicaragua and other developing countries. Their repercussions to the ability of the populations of affected nations to enjoy human rights is well documented.”

The Cuban representative in Geneva himself posted a message on Twitter where he reiterated the unconditional support for the Ortega regime.

“Our unconditional support for the Sandinista government and the people of Nicaragua in their quest for justice, welfare, and social emancipation is unwavering in the 52nd session of the Human Rights Council,” the Cuban diplomat posted on Twitter.

  1. They are simply sleazebags utterly bereft of shame or principles. This is what they are and what they do. That guy in the photo is classic Castronoid diplomatic material; I’ve seen more distinguished-looking bag boys at the supermarket, and I mean MUCH more distinguished.

Defending molester of minors Ortega and the Witch of Managua (who enabled or at least tolerated such depravity involving her own daughter) is in itself depraved, since their crimes go far beyond that.

  2. The real problem, however, is that the UN is a disgraceful joke and deserves no respect. Still, if the UN were what it purports to be, Cuban “diplomats” would no more belong there than I belong in a Korean boy band.
