While Bernie Sanders and Michael Moore hail Cuba as a great socialist healthcare power, Cubans must suffer through tooth extractions without anesthesia. And the worst part is the communist Castro dictatorship is bragging about it.

The public health system in Cuba is going through a severe shortage of resources in the midst of one of the worst economic crises the nation can remember The situation has forced dentists to extract teeth without anesthesia and are instead using homeopathic drops as a placebo, according to state-run news outlet Radio Llanura de Colon.
The Matanzas-based outlet published an article titled “In Colon, they’re extracting teeth without anesthesia,” where Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) authorities boast about the “proven effectiveness” of using Natural and Traditional Medicine as an alternative to anesthesia.
Before anyone tries to blame the embargo for this, keep in mind the Castro dictatorship has plenty of money to build luxury hotels for foreign tourists and stock them with the finest food and drink. All this is happening while Cubans spend their days standing in long lines, struggling to find a morsel of food to feed themselves and their families.
The real problem in Cuba is corruption and mismanagement, which are the hallmarks of a centralized socialist economy and has led to decades of food and medicine shortages in Cuba.
Anesthesia? Please. Since when have lowly savages had access to anesthesia? Get a clue.
