Image of the Day: The monthly ration of chicken for a child in communist Cuba

This is how much chicken a mother in Cuba was given through the ration book for her daughter, which is supposed to last her the entire month.

Meanwhile, this is how the buffets laid out for foreign tourists look like at the communist Castro regime’s apartheid resorts. This is socialism in action.

  1. Oh, but the tourists facilities supposedly “belong to the people” and the profits they make supposedly go to meet the needs of the people. Obviously, something doesn’t add up here. Actually, nothing adds up.

But yes, this is a good illustration of the regime’s priorities, at least the top 10 of which are staying in power.

Apart from the grotesque perversity of the situation, the utter lack of concern or respect for ordinary Cubans is striking, but that’s been the case for so long that it’s been completely “normalized.”
