One can only imagine the mystery ingredient the Castro regime is using as a filler in the croquetas sold in state-owned stores that’s causing them to violently explode. The wonders of socialism never cease.

Explosive croquettes return to Havana: ‘They can explode even after you serve them’
The croquettes sold by the Cuban government to the population have the dangerous property of exploding when they come into contact with hot oil. They can even explode after being served, increasing the danger for consumers.
Daniel Martínez González raised an alert on Wednesday on Facebook that some croquettes, purchased at a store on 19th and B streets in the Vedado neighborhood of Havana, exploded while they were on the plate, which would increase the danger of that product.
“The explosions occurred while the croquettes were cooling on the plate. Thankfully, my young nephew wasn’t at home, and my mom was unharmed because she wasn’t close at that moment,” he reported.
In two of the photos included in his post, two separate explosions can be seen with fragments of the croquettes stuck to the wall and ceiling.
According to his post, his mother went back to the market to return them but received no response while they continue selling this item.
“She went to the market to warn them and return the croquettes, but they didn’t pay any attention. They’re still selling them. Don’t trust them, they can explode in your face even after being served,” Martinez reiterated.
This is not the first time Cubans have reported this issue with the product, which has caused burns on the faces and other parts of the body of several people.
For years, explosive croquettes have made headlines after causing injuries while being cooked. Last year, a private business in Bauta resumed their sale, and the cooking of the product resulted in severe burns for two women.
Amid the food scarcity the population is experiencing, this product, distributed by the state-owned food company Prodal, is often in high demand.
