Heavy rains have caused havoc in Cuba over the past two days, including the three disasters mentioned in the headline to this post. The bridge collapse left six towns completely isolated. The 840-f00t-long bridge was only eight years old.
In addition, severe flooding has been reported throughout eastern Cuba since Friday, in the provinces of Granma, Santiago de Cuba, Holguín and Guantánamo. In the city of Bayamo, several of its main streets and avenues became impassable.
Firemen rushed to the scene, but, as usual, government authorities in Havana have totally ignored the house collapse in Havana, leaving its victims to fend for themselves. Luckily, no one was injured or killed.
Aaaah, the joys of hurricane season in Latrine America’s most beloved socialist utopia. And this is just the start. The next four to five months promise to bring similar or worse disasters. Vamos bien. Requetebien! Lord have mercy.

In the past few hours, a building collapse was reported on social networks in Centro Habana, specifically on Belascoain and Tenerife streets, known as Los sitios, in one of the areas where there is a greater presence of old houses in serious deterioration.
In the event, several people were trapped, but later they were able to escape unharmed through a crack, as it was found. The reports indicated that a deteriorated wall “that had a grown tree on it” collapsed, generating this landslide in Centro Habana.
“A deteriorated wall in one of the farms where they sell food and meat collapsed, a wall that had a grown tree there was only material damage with very good luck, God help us,” wrote Internet user Sunamy Souchay.
In the event, no human losses were recorded, but the firefighters indicated that they needed verification of the architecture to be able to reopen the food and butcher shop that is located in the place where this collapse occurred in Central Havana.
“No representative of the regime had showed up so far. They were waiting for them to arrive because there is a building in very poor condition, which if it falls will affect many people,” they noted in another report.

What happens to “the people” does NOT matter. Might as well be insects. The “revolution” is not about that.
