The constant show of weakness and disarray by the Biden administration has given China very little to fear and has only served to embolden the communist dictatorship in Beijing. This feebleness before very real national security threats posed by China has prompted Republicans in Florida to slam the inept administration.
While the federal indictment of former President Donald Trump rocked the country internally, foreign policy issues abroad continue to mount. Recently, 24 Chinese aircraft flew dangerously close to Taiwan, with ten crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait. China has acted with increased aggression over the past several years, including talks with Cuba to build a spy base, and Florida Republicans blame the Biden Administration.
Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) recently made a scathing remark about President Biden’s foreign policy after news of China’s potential spy base deal with Cuba broke. Sen. Scott said this demonstrated how “America’s enemies know Biden is too weak to stand up against them,” and “The appeasement and weakness must end now.”
Similarly, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) accused the Biden Administration of apathy toward China’s plan to build the spy base saying, “The threat to America from #Cuba isn’t just real, it is far worse than this.”
“The threat to America from #Cuba isn’t just real, it is far worse than this. But to date not only does the Biden WH not care, they have people who actually want to appease the regime,” said Sen. Rubio in a recent tweet.
Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) called Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s recent visit to China a “reward” for other acts of aggression, including the May incident where a Chinese jet buzzed an American spy plane.
For dictators, sensing weakness in their enemies has the same effect as a shark smelling blood in the water: they go into an uncontrolled feeding frenzy. At the moment, Biden’s weakness and incompetence is throwing blood into water.
As weak as the Obama administration may have been, it was made up of ahistorical leftist true believers who were good at executing bad policy. But Biden and his administration are just incompetent fools.
