Image of the Day: The first restaurant review of Versailles, Miami’s iconic Cuban restaurant

This review was published by the Miami News in March of 1972, just eight months after Cuban exile Felipe Valls opened Versailles Restaurant, which went on to become (and continues to be) an institution in Miami.

  1. That’s pretty well the time I started visiting (along with my parents) El Versailles. We lived about a mile and a half away. Must’ve visited dozens of times over the years. What memories!
    Every time I visit Miami I wind up going there again.
