Cuba’s sock puppet president Miguel Diaz-Canel has arrived in New York to deliver a message at the UN from his puppet masters, the totalitarian communist Castro dictatorship. Expect the same tired and insipid drivel about “blockades” and “imperialism” we have been hearing for the past six decades, along with a large portion of propaganda and some shameless begging for cash.
Via Diario de Cuba (my translation):
Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in New York to participate in the high-level segment of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, as reported by the the Cuban state-ruin website Cubadebate.
The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) will attend the meeting in his capacity as President of the Group of 77 and China (G77+China) to present the results of the recently concluded Summit in Havana. The Cuban delegation that traveled to New York also includes the regime’s Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and José Ángel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health, among other officials.
“To the United Nations! There are several high-level meetings this week in the General Assembly and ‘Cuba will be there’, presenting the claims of the G77+China Summit and those of our people,” Díaz-Canel stated a few hours ago on his X account (formerly Twitter), along with the hashtag: “#TheSouthAlsoExists”.
Díaz-Canel arrived in the U.S. this Sunday at John F. Kennedy International Airport at around 10:00 AM (local time) accompanied by his wife, Lis Cuesta Peraza, and the rest of the accompanying delegation, as reported by the state-run newspaper Granma.
According to the planned program for these sessions, Díaz-Canel will be the sixth speaker when the debate opens in the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, September 19th. According to Granma, the First Secretary of the PCC will speak about “the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, tackling climate change, international efforts in the field of Health, and paths for development financing.”
Another thing you can expect during this visit is the “free nations” at the UN applauding and congratulating the murderous Cuban regime. The kowtowing to communist dictatorships we’ll see will be as offensive and sickening as always. In other words, just another day at the UN.
Again, there’s no point blaming Castro, Inc. for doing what it has always done and will always do. Those who condone and enable Castro, Inc., as they have since 1959, are at least equally culpable.
