Learning English with Rob and Laura

Happy #98 to Dick Van Dyke who was born in Missouri on this day in 1925.i. It reminds me of so many early nights of “El exilio,” from learning English and translating for our mother.

Most of us met him through The Dick Van Dyke Show, one of the best sitcoms of the 1960’s. He played Rob Petrie, a TV comedy writer.  His wife Laura was played the very pretty Mary Tyler Moore. It was a great show and the supporting cast was wonderful.

He was also in several other movies, such as “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Mary Poppins,” and a few others.

P.S. Check out my blog for posts, podcasts and videos.
