Czar Vlad the Invader’s envoy Sergei the Enigmatic stopped in Havana as part of his tour of Latrine American hot spots. He met with Brunito el Maldito and obviously transacted some important business with him and other Castronoid slimeballs, but refused to divulge any details of what had transpired behind closed doors. Such is the way that imperial powers deal with their subjects and their Ministries of Truth.
No information for you, savages! We are superior. We are in charge here. Take your questions, fold them ten ways, and stick ’em up that curly-haired orifice down yonder where the sun never shines. Now, leave me alone, you sorry-assed vermin. I have other inferior folk like you to visit and secret arrangements to make with them. Do svidaniya, or as you say in your ugly benighted tongue, adios, y vayanse pa’l carajo . . .

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised political ties with Havana over bilateral economic cooperation. “I believe that coordination at the global and international level is as important as economic and commercial cooperation,” said Lavrov during the press conference he offered after speaking with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez.
After thanking Rodríguez for his hospitality, Lavrov said: “Cuba is our partner, a very important ally in the Latin American and Caribbean region. We are satisfied with the nature of our relations and our dialogues, including at the highest level, and also between the parliaments and ministries of both countries”.
Lavrov said that he usually meets with Rodríguez several times a year to discuss issues on the bilateral and international agenda. As the latter “is developing rapidly and in a very contradictory way”, Lavrov considers that his interaction with Rodríguez “is necessary”, and sees “the added value of this type of contacts.”
Regarding the announcement of new collaborations or alliances that contribute to the announced “cubastroika”, Lavrov was very concise: “Today we have confirmed our willingness to increase collaboration, mutual investments.” He later said that “the legal bases were formalized some time ago” to increase relations, but that expansion has not materialized more than a year after its announcement.
The Kremlin official said that the protagonist of these rapprochements is the dialogue between the parliaments of both countries. “We have confirmed the intention to hold another meeting of the Russian-Cuban Interparliamentary Cooperation Commission in the coming months,” added the foreign minister before praising the recent rapprochements between Minsk and Havana, regarding the presidency of the Eurasian Commission that he occupies. Belarus.
The educational area was the only one to which Lavrov referred directly: “Education is another important sphere of our interaction, it has a long history. We are going to continue developing the quota program (scholarships for students), where Cuba participates by having very privileged conditions”.
Regarding the Kremlin’s influence in Latin America, Lavrov said that ties will be expanded with regional organizations such as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), and the Association of States of the Caribbean (AEC).
