Considering the Castro dictatorship’s lack of tech, it was obvious from the beginning the attacks on American diplomats in Cuba were being carried out by a foreign power. A 60 Minutes report exposes new evidence that points to Russia as the culprit behind the so-called sonic attacks that injured U.S. personnel based in Cuba, which has been dubbed “Havana Syndrome.”
While it has always been obvious the Castro dictatorship doesn’t have the smarts to create such a weapon, what the communist Cuban regime most likely did do is provide support and allow these attacks to take place, something the U.S. has not had the courage to confront them on.

Eight years later a series of attacks that began targeting U.S. and Canadian diplomats stationed in their respective embassies in Havana in 2016 remains a mystery officially, but CBS newsmagazine 60 minutes over a five year investigation, believes Russia is behind the attacks, despite official denials by the United States government.
“60 Minutes producers Michael Rey and Oriana Zill de Granados discuss the evolution of their 5-year investigation into ‘Havana Syndrome,’ which led them to what one source calls “a receipt” for acoustic weapon testing done by a Russian intelligence unit.”
Officials in the Cuban government have also been quick to discount the Havana Syndrome, but the record shows that if Russia was involved in testing an acoustic weapon on American and Canadian diplomats, the Cuban secret police would know it, report it to their superiors, and they would allow it. The role Havana is playing in backing Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine, including the presence of Cubans soldiers in Russian uniforms fighting on the front lines, underscores their strategic relationship with Moscow.
