Uh, oh . . . This call to prayer in public could mean serious trouble for Father Kenny Fernández Delgado. He has skated on thin ice before, but this time the ice is much thinner. Calling for public assemblies of any kind is frowned upon by Castro, Inc., even if the reason for assembling is to pray. In this case, since the call to prayer is in response to Venezuela’s election fraud– which Castro, Inc. has orchestrated — Father Kenny may be crossing the kind of line Castro, Inc. doesn’t allow anyone to cross.

Cuban priest Kenny Fernández Delgado invited devotees to participate in a family prayer session in parks across all cities for Cuba and Venezuela this Saturday, August 3rd, at 10:00 AM.

In his statement on Facebook, Fernández Delgado emphasized that “praying in a park is not prohibited” and invited everyone to join in prayer “without posters, without slogans, with no other leader than Jesus Christ, and above all, without fear.”

The call to prayer allows flexibility for each person to pray as they prefer, whether silently or using familiar prayers like the rosary.

“Jesus Christ will help us if we ask with faith,” the priest affirmed, using the hashtag #OremosEnFamilia to promote the initiative.

Fernández Delgado’s words come at a significant time, supporting Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who called for popular mobilization after denouncing electoral fraud by Nicolás Maduro’s government on July 28, 2024.

Machado declared on the social network X: “Venezuela won, and now we are going to collect. We must remain firm, organized, and mobilized.”

The opposition leader called all Venezuelan families to gather this Saturday, August 3rd, at 10:00 AM, specifying that in Caracas, they will congregate on the Main Avenue of Las Mercedes.

Additionally, she highlighted the importance of peaceful protest and called for raising the flag at each house. “The world will see the strength and determination of a society determined to live in Freedom,” said María Corina on Thursday.
