Wow. This is harsh. While Olympic athletes from most nations on planet earth are welcomed back from the games with great fanfare and showered with valuable gifts or cash rewards — especially by “evil” capitalist nations — Castro, Inc.’s athletes are basically ignored and sent home immediately with a bag full of truly insulting gifts given how much effort and personal sacrifices they expended on behalf of the soul-crushing totalitarian dictatorship.
Never let it be said that Castro, Inc. is ashamed to display its priorities, as well as their contempt for its enslaved athletes.

The lack of interest from the regime in recognizing Cuban athletes for their outstanding performances in international championships is becoming increasingly evident.
While governments in capitalist countries award thousands of dollars to distinguished athletes, the medalists who were part of the Cuban delegation at the 2024 Olympic Games have received no compensation as a token of gratitude.
In this regard, Olympic silver medalist Yusneilys Guzmán, in the wrestling discipline, has already returned to her home in the 10 de Octubre municipality of Havana, where she was welcomed with a small celebration that sparked criticism on social media.
The freestyle wrestling runner-up, who made history as the first Cuban woman to win a medal in this discipline, received a modest gift for her remarkable achievement: two cakes, three bottles of cola, three bottles of bulk rum, and a bag of hygiene products.
Without any formal tribute, dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel welcomed the Cuban athletes who represented the country in Paris at the airport.
Images shared on the social media accounts of the Cuban presidency show that this reception seemed to focus primarily on five-time champion Mijaín López, who clearly has a close relationship with the Castroist leadership.
Meanwhile, the rest of the medalists appeared to be sidelined, and worse still, the delegation was taken to “celebrate” acts in honor of the late dictator Fidel Castro.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time the regime has mocked Cuban athletes, as they have often been “rewarded” for their efforts with meager food bags and some soft drinks.
