From our Annals of Apartheid Tourism Bureau with some assistance from our Bureau of Socialist Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice and our Bureau of Morally Bankrupt Cuban YoYos
Aaaah, the joy of being a diaspora Cuban –or YoYo — who can travel to Cuba with enough money to avail himself of all the luxuries that Castro, Inc. reserves for foreigners. That’s the nauseating part of this story. The cheerful part of this story is that the LGBT resort visited by this morally bankrupt YoYo had very few guests, so few, in fact, that it couldn’t offer buffet dining. Yes, proof that Castro, Inc.’s apartheid tourist industry is dying.
Awww . . . Qué lástima! What a pity. . . Nonetheless, this ditsy YoYo named Alejandro was not at all disturbed by the emptiness of the place. In fact, he enjoyed his stay very much, as one might expect from someone morally bankrupt enough to admit in his video that he knew that the resort was off limits to most Cubans, but he was nonetheless determined to enjoy it “to the max.”
The luxuries available to him and denied to all Cubans on the island — while probably way inferior to those offered by hotels in normal nations — seemed superb to him. Lucky you, Alejandro. Lord have Mercy. Or, as Asombra might say: Lord, the nausea. .

The Cuban YouTuber Alejandro, renowned for his detailed reviews of tourist destinations, recently shared his experience at the Gran Muthu Rainbow, one of Cuba’s most exclusive hotels located in Cayo Guillermo and dedicated to the LGBT community. During his visit, he noticed that the facility was nearly empty, which explained the offer of $257 for a three-night stay.
The hotel, inaugurated in 2019 as the first in Cuba specifically aimed at the LGBT community, prominently displays the rainbow flag, which Alejandro felt enhanced the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere of the place.
Alejandro explored the Gran Muthu Rainbow’s amenities, which include two beaches. However, one was affected by seaweed due to its location, but this did not prevent him from enjoying the other beach and the available pools. One pool, exclusive to rooms with private access, particularly caught his attention for its design and privacy. . .
The hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, but due to the low season, the buffet restaurant was not operational to minimize losses. Instead, the hotel offered dining options in smaller areas and specialized restaurants. . . .He also mentioned the existence of a 24-hour open bar serving drinks and snacks, which complemented his experience. . .
Alejandro mentioned some additional services, such as massages, that are not included in the all-inclusive package and must be paid for separately. He also noted that payments at the hotel can only be made with Visa or Mastercard, with no option to use Cuban currency.
The Gran Muthu Rainbow is part of the MGM Muthu Hotels chain, one of the largest in Cuba, with 14 tourist facilities and nearly 7,000 rooms in destinations like Varadero, Cayo Santa María, Cayo Coco, and Cayo Guillermo. The chain plans to expand with new hotels in Central Havana, Holguín, and Las Tunas, in addition to the opening of the Gran Muthu Habana, a five-star hotel in the Playa municipality.
The Indian chain has also announced its intention to operate domestic flights in Cuba, with an ATR-72 aircraft that will facilitate connectivity between Havana and various tourist destinations. This step represents a new phase in the expansion of MGM Muthu Hotels in Cuba, consolidating its presence in the Cuban market.
I suppose when you want attention badly enough, you’ll pull this shit. Unless, of course, you’re even worse.
