From our Bureau of Communist Repressors Living Abroad in Capitalist Comfort with some assistance from our Bureau of Colossal Injustices Involving Repressors With Blood on Their Hands
Never mind the stir caused by Cuban Communist Party leader Manuel Menendez Castellanos, who has just been allowed by the U.S. to join the Cuban diaspora in Miami. As it turns out, those U.S. lawmakers who wrote to Biden and Mayorkas about top dog Menendez Castellanos need to write another letter immediately. The website Cubanos Por El Mundo has revealed that another high-ranking PCC official with a record of brutality and repression — described as a major SOB (“un tronco de Hijo de Puta”) by Cubans who know him — has been living in Miami for several months, undetected and unexposed, until today. Some think have already obtained a Permanent Resident green card.
One must ask: How is this possible? The answer, of course, is that Jar-Jar Biden and his Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas (who, oddly enough, happens to be a Cuban-American) decided a few years ago to open the country’s borders to anyone and everyone, including Cuban Communist goons, and criminals and terrorists from other nations. Truly appalling. Read all the nasty details below.
Loosely translated from Cubanos Por El Mundo
Although there are no photos confirming the presence in Miami of a former First Secretary of the PCC in Varadero, when it was considered a sort of “special municipality” due to its economic importance as a tourist hub, several sources confirm the presence of Tomás Urra Rodríguez in the Cuban exile community.
The alert about his presence was raised by activist Saily González, who, through a Facebook post, asked her followers for information on this matter.
Two hours later, a source who has previously collaborated with Cubanos por el Mundo provided information. Tomás Urra is in Miami, along with his two daughters and wife, after being “sponsored” by one of them, Mirielys Urra. Photos were sent to us for identification.
Another source from Varadero commented on this person:
“(…) When Varadero was a special municipality due to its role as a tourist hub, Tomás Urra was the Party Secretary in Varadero. He was a major SOB, I really don’t know how he got there, and still, no one has exposed him publicly, even though there are a lot of people from Varadero living in Miami.”
A third source told Cubanos por el Mundo that Urra has kept a low profile in Miami. His Facebook profile shows no photos.
“But he’s there, has been for several months now. He might even be a resident by now,” the source declared.
Tomás Urra Rodríguez, born on December 21, 1959, used to live at 159th Street, number 13303, between 133 and 135, Reparto Poey, in the Reynol García neighborhood, in the city of Matanzas.
Internet searches reveal two articles where Tomás Urra’s role and his presence at political events in Varadero are mentioned.
In one, published in Granma on May 5, 1998, it reads:
“With a floral offering at the tomb of Major General Antonio Maceo Grajales, in the El Cacahual Mausoleum, the activities of the visiting high-level Chinese military delegation began on Monday, led by General Yu Yongbo, member of the Central Military Commission and Chief of the General Political Department of the People’s Liberation Army.
“(…) On Sunday, General Yu Yongbo and his entourage toured tourist facilities on Varadero beach. There, Tomás Urra, First Secretary of the PCC in the municipality, and Onelio Álvarez, member of the Provincial Party Bureau in Matanzas, provided them with extensive information about the current development and future prospects of the so-called smokeless industry in that area.”
In another article, published on July 20, 2003, also in Granma, based on a cable from the National Information Agency, it reads:
“The people and workers of Cuba’s most important tourist municipality packed the local amphitheater for Matanzas’ central event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Moncada barracks attack.
“Víctor Gaute, member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Party in the province, conveyed an effusive congratulations for their competitive victory, particularly to the tourism and construction workers, who were the best in the country in their respective fields.
“Gaute referred to the historical significance of the actions on July 26, 1953, in Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo, which marked the beginning of a Revolution of decorum, sacrifice, and culture, as professed by José Martí and Máximo Gómez in the Manifesto of Montecristi.
“(…) At the massive gathering on the blue beach, Tomás Urra, First Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, emphasized that for the people of Varadero, this is a day of great joy, but above all, of deep reflection in taking on an even greater commitment to the homeland.
“The speakers highlighted the need to intensify and perfect the preparation of all the people for the defense of the homeland against the neofascist threats of imperialism and its acolytes.”
Víctor Gaute’s daughter, Amalia Gaute, also resides in Miami. Will she, like Mirielys Urra, sponsor her father? Will he retire in Miami, just like Manuel Ménendez Castellanos and Víctor Gaute, former First Secretary of the PCC in Matanzas, member of the PCC Central Committee, and former head of its Ideological Department?
Basically, we’re talking about a relajo, and if anybody’s going to take advantage of that, Cubans will.
I hope everyone in Little Havana decides to ask him some questions. I’d love to ask him how he sleeps at night, but sadly, I don’t live in Little Havana.
These Cuban apparatchiks are literally having their cakes and eating them too. That these criminals are choosing Miami as a place of residence, however, does show one thing: none of them believed in that system, they were merely opportunists who helped to perpetuate that horror for their own personal edification without any concern at all for their fellow citizens. In other words, vile, amoral people, the biggest POS’s around. Reinaldo Arenas once said that no other country has ever given as many scoundrels as Cuba. I do believe he was right.
There were always far more opportunists than true believers, but there were LOTS of opportunists.
