Via Penn Live:

For the second straight year a coach with the Cuban team in the Little League World Series left the complex in South Williamsport and disappeared.

Little League spokesperson Kevin Fountain confirmed Tuesday that Carlos J. César Martínez, a coach with the Santa Clara team, left the complex the night of Aug. 24 and did not return. The Cubans had been eliminated from the tournament by then.

Almost exactly one year earlier, on August 19, 2023, the coach of the Cuban national Little League team disappeared under similar circumstances. As we have seen over the past 65 years of the socialist revolution, Cubans will take advantage of any opportunity to escape communism.
