It was quite a 1975 World Series for Luis Tiant. He pitched a Game 1 shutout of the Reds; and in game 4, he came back and beat the Reds, 5-4. Tiant threw an amazing 163 pitches and got out of trouble several times in the game. It also tied the series at 2-2.
What an effort by “El Tiant,” one of the great Cuban pitchers of recent memory.
