Cuba’s fake president blames electrical grid collapse on U.S. ‘blockade’ and ‘energy persecution’

Nothing is ever our fault

Following instructions from one of the oldest and most worn-out pages of the Castro playbook, “president” Trucutú Díaz-Canalla is whining about the embargo and blaming it for the current energy crisis in Castrogonia. No surprise here. The only surprise is that Castronoids of all ranks can repeat this ancient mantra with a straight face.

Loosely translated from ADN Cuba

In the midst of the chaos caused by the total blackout across the island, Cuban dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel addressed the nation, blaming the U.S. embargo and what he described as an “energy persecution” by the U.S. government.

“This is yet another demonstration of the problems caused by the blockade,” he stated, pointing out that the limitations in obtaining currency and fuel are a direct consequence of Washington’s foreign policy.

However, from the State Department in Washington, the response was clear: Cuba’s energy crisis is not the result of the embargo, but of the regime’s economic mismanagement.

Criticism focuses on the Cuban government’s inability to maintain its energy infrastructure and its lack of investment in modernizing the electrical system.

Despite the Cuban government’s efforts to restore normalcy, solutions seem distant. Díaz-Canel assured that “there will be no rest until we fully restore the system,” but with an outdated energy grid, fuel shortages, and a declining economic system, Cubans see no immediate way out.

Meanwhile, the population continues to face the harsh reality of shortages, lack of basic services, and uncertainty. On the streets, people seek temporary solutions: electric generators, solar energy systems, and any means to cope with what appears to be a prolonged energy crisis. However, with limited access to resources, most can only hope that the blackout ends soon.
