Very few Cubans live in and around New Haven. So, it was a wonderful surprise to see a Cuban flag flying over one of the many food trucks that line up every day at the city’s harbor, most of which serve Mexican food. “Sandwiches El Cubano” is genuinely Cuban, and deserves a FIVE STAR rating for sure. Highly recommended.
If you happen to find yourself here, passing through on Interstate 95, be sure to stop and sample Osmany Cienfuegos’s Cuban fare. Best Cuban sandwich in Connecticut, for sure. Everything else we sampled was also top-notch. Maravilloso! More photos below.
