It is a scene one expects to find in a third-world country after some major catastrophe, but in Cuba, it’s just another day in the workers’ paradise.
As Cuba grapples with an escalating food crisis, a viral video shared by influencer @alain_paparazzi_cubano on Friday reveals the dire situation faced by Cuban mothers. These women are seen collecting food from a garbage dump in a desperate attempt to feed their children.
The footage shows mothers retrieving ground meat and hot dogs from piles of waste while discussing the severe challenges they encounter in providing meals for their families. “I do this for my children,” one mother explains as she gathers the meat, noting that it doesn’t appear to be soy-based due to the presence of animal fat.
In the video, another woman describes their method of boiling the meat three times before consuming it, in an effort to remove any impurities from the dump. “We boil it three times, and then it’s ready to eat,” she is heard saying.
This is what the communist Castro dictatorship has done to the Cuban people. This is Cuba after 65 years of a socialist revolution. This is socialism in action.
For all practical purposes, the world’s response is that Cuba’s a third-world shithole, so this shit happens.
