Our parents or grandparents may not have celebrated Thanksgiving in Cuba, but as Cuban Americans, it became the day to give thanks for the opportunity to escape communism and live in freedom. And as their children and grandchildren, we continue that tradition with a Cuban twist: Happy San Givin!
