Stepson of Cuba’s fake president enjoys luxurious Italian dream holiday with actress girlfriend Ana de Armas

Forget Sandro Castro and his birthday party. This week’s most annoying Cuban celebrities are actress Ana de Armas and her new boyfriend, Trucutú Junior, stepson of Trucutú Díaz-Canel. The starlet has gone wild on social media, letting the world know how much money she can carelessly burn while on holiday in Italy.

Is her beau Trucutú Junior simply along for the ride, or is he footing some of the expenses? Who knows? Who cares? But a burning question lingers over all of Ana’s social media boasting: Why wasn’t Trucutú Junior at the “Combat March” this past Friday?

Cuban actress Ana de Armas recently shared images of her trip to Italy on her social media. Although the Hollywood star initially did not appear accompanied in her earlier posts, she has now confirmed that she is with her boyfriend, the stepson of the communist dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel.

A new video alongside Italian chef Massimo Bottura, known as the owner of Casa Maria Luigia—a luxury hotel in the countryside of Modena with three Michelin stars—shows the couple making artisanal pasta in the chef’s facilities.

In the footage, Ana and Manuel, both wearing the venue’s aprons and joined by the chef and his team, showcase the preparation of the Italian dish.

The hotel features 14 rooms, a private villa, a contemporary art gallery, a museum of iconic Italian cars and motorcycles, a winery producing traditional Modena vinegar, and two restaurants. Room rates start at 600 euros per night.

This is the first time the actress has publicly shared images of Anido on her social media. Users left strong criticisms directed at her and her partner, highlighting the severe crisis the Cuban people are enduring:

“The Cuban people are starving; don’t worry, that guy won’t last long with you, but history will hold you accountable”; “Anita, can you and Manuel bring powdered milk from Italy? Your father-in-law has run out, and children are dying of hunger”; “You have no shame. You’re spitting in the face of a country without freedom, in the suffering of millions, and in the memory of those who are no longer here”; and “How nice that the stepson of the Cuban dictator gets to vacation with everyone’s money! Neither forget nor forgive!” are some of the comments found online.

Less than a week ago, De Armas shared photos from the Accademia Gallery in Florence, where she captured Michelangelo’s David sculpture and other Renaissance art pieces. The star also visited Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and the renowned Uffizi Gallery, admiring masterpieces by artists like Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci.

The Blonde star, whose performance earned her an Oscar nomination, also posted pictures from her stroll through Florence’s historic center and areas near Piazza della Repubblica, showcasing its iconic attractions.

De Armas, currently promoting her new film Ballerina, a spin-off of the John Wick series, has made headlines due to her relationship with a Cuban regime official and member of its elite circle.

Her romance with Manuel Anido Cuesta, the “advisor” and stepson of Cuban dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel, has drawn widespread criticism. De Armas has never spoken out against the regime that oppresses her home country.

Earlier this month, the actress reportedly became upset when a journalist from ADN Cuba, who coincidentally dined at the BiBo restaurant in Madrid, mentioned the dire situation of the Cuban people to Anido Cuesta amidst the island’s severe crisis.

This incident, along with others involving the couple, comes in the wake of a scandal sparked by ¡Hola! magazine over a month ago. The publication shared photos of Ana and Anido strolling through Madrid’s exclusive “Golden Mile” after dining at the upscale Italian restaurant Numa Pompilio, accompanied by Cuban regime lawyers Lourdes and Rodolfo Dávalos.

  1. Why wasn’t he at the march? Probably for the same reason his mother, Mariela Castro and her brother, Sandro and apparently even the PM Marrero weren’t there–they all know it’s BS and had better things to do.
