We remember Jerry Mathers who turned 70 this week.
Back in 1964-65, our family spent many hours watching TV and practicing our English. One of our favorites was “Leave it to Beaver” or “El chiquito” as my mom used to call him.
Jerry Mathers will always be “The Beaver” in “Leave it to Beaver”, one of the most popular TV shows ever.
The show had four characters that everyone loved: Dad Ward Cleaver, Mom June Cleaver, older brother Wally and Beaver.
Seriously, didn’t Mrs. Cleaver had a little Cuban mother in her? Maybe this is why she is my all time favorite TV mom.
And let’s not forget Eddie Haskell, who probably drove every mother crazy:
