Here we go again. My annual plea calling for Tony Oliva to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. At this point, it’s up to the Veterans Committee and they will voting very soon.
Oliva was a .313 hitter from 1962-72 for the Twins and led the AL in hits 5 times from 1964-70. He was a 3 time AL batting champion and an eight-time All-Star, and was twice runner-up for the AL MVP Award.
Tony O is now 83 and played his last game in 1976!
